Wild Swans, in Islington, might well be my favourite boutique in London. Over the years its clever curation has introduced me to some brilliant Scandi brands that reliably fit both my 5’11” frame and my androgynous sports-luxe taste. Baum und Pferdgarden is one of the best, and these emerald trousers would break me out of my addiction to muted neutrals while still ticking the non-negotiable as-comfy-as-pyjamas box (if I don’t feel free, I don’t look good). I’m also a sucker for a slogan tee, and this Nobody Denim number is hard to argue with.
Both would go well with the Wonder Woman vibe of these golden Maje sandals, especially when paired with near-neon lips. Maybelline’s Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick is a truly miraculous product, delivering rich, immovable and moisturising pigment for under seven quid, and the Orange Shot shade is way more flattering than it sounds.
Final touches – Tom Ford sunglasses and a light little woven shoulder bag stuffed with my July life essentials – 90% dark chocolate, Ultrasun Factor 50 face cream, and a copy of a novel by Barbara Pym. I’ve only just discovered the literary mistress of 1950s social mores and boy, have I fallen for her – hard.
